NUOPC Layer
The National Unified Operational Prediction Capability (NUOPC) aims to advance the weather prediction modeling systems used by the National Weather Service, Air Force and Navy meteorologists, mission planners, and decision makers. NUOPC has been leading the effort to establish conventions for ESMF and to develop generic code and compliance checkers that promote their use. The documents and links on this page are works in progress.

- The NUOPC Layer code is maintained and distributed through the ESMF source repository. The latest official NUOPC prototype code is contained in ESMF release v5.2.0rp1.
- An important part of the NUOPC Layer prototype development is to provide example codes. These examples demonstrate how the generic NUOPC Layer is applied to specific cases. The latest version of the NUOPC prototype examples are available for browsing and downloading through SVN: https://esmfcontrib.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/esmfcontrib/NUOPC/trunk/.
